The Hadassah Women's Movement was born out of passion for women liberation from oppression and present the love of Jesus Christ as an alternative. It rose from the caring heart that refused to accept and settle for less. It was born on the ground that God love human beings equally regardless of past situations, experiences and mistakes. The Hadassah Women's Movement’s aim is to free women and empower them that God has a purpose and destiny for them and that their current situations does not determine their destination. To embolden women that they are born for more than this! To strengthen women in their faith and walk with Jesus. To proclaim that the time of release and restoration is now. The Hadassah women's movement targets all women of every age, race and color. The love of the Lord Jesus Christ draws us to His mission "Whosoever will, may come". We are all special to Jesus.
Hadassah therefore, is a perfect example of every woman's state of hopelessness, powerlessness, aspiration, abandonment, suffering, wretchedness, helplessness, loneliness, agony, shame, uncertainty etc. The name "HADASSAH" has it's origin in Hebrew; meaning myrtle tree. The myrtle is a perennial (plant that never die) shrub with white flowers that are used for perfume. Esther was the Persian form of the same which means "STAR" The name Esther (Hadassah) is a symbol of VICTORY!!!
On the other hand, Esther is a name that builds hope, beauty, passion, dedication, patriotism, boldness, daring, restoration and celebration! The mention of the name Esther surges POWER and TENNACITY in the hearer. It gives instant determination to rise up and refuse intimidations and limitations. It emboldens individual to declare "my situation is not my destination; I am born for more than this" and I will give it whatever it takes. I believe the plan of God for me is good and I refuse to allow my current circumstances to hold me down.
I refuse to be bound.
I am going to step out!
I am going to risk it!
I am going to spread my wings,
and I WILL SOAR LIKE AN EAGLE.
Under this umbrella, we continue to build our women conferences such as: Refreshing, D Women Conferences, Women in Ministry Conference, Women's Retreats etc. God is moving mightily and we need to join Him. This is our time. This is our season. This is our generation.
